Descripción de la oferta: Safmarine, member of APM-group, is one of the leading north/south operators offering container and breakbulk shipping services to many parts of the world.
Safmarine Spain has an opening for an Inside Sales position based in Bilbao. The position will cover inside sales responsibility for two (Bilbao & Vigo) of our six sales offices in Spain while reporting to the Bilbao Sales Executive.

The right person will have a Safmarine spirit of being “Personal, Committed & Understanding” of our customers and colleagues, and will have strong impact and responsibility for the continued sales growth in Bilbao & Vigo. The position thus presents a great opportunity to learn and operate within a commercially high paced environment.

This includes:

- Maintain and follow up commercial procedures in order to reach the highest customer service standard in the three branches
- Ensure that all quotations are documented and issued in an efficient and professional manner keeping record of and track of the agreements reached for easy follow up
- Timely updating of existing quotes once validity expires
- Identify potential business and close visits for the sales representatives
- Together with account owner to implement customer plans and monitor performance in terms of volume, revenue and OY against budgets
- Follow up on rate increases by Safmarine and other rates/surcharges/charges changes from other suppliers, and communicate to customers and operational staff
- Elaborate and quote offers to customers of Bilbao and Vigo branches
- Ensure that all customers are properly attended over the phone or via mail.
- Actively use and promote company product services via telesales
- Follow up on incoming sales leads and initiate sales leads in coordination with sales executives
- Keep buying and selling rates updated at all times in coordination with all Safmarine origin offices abroad
- Able to support/cover the sales representative from the offices while they are out of office
- Work in close communication with the sales representatives and operational department to ensure maximum effort is given to increase Safmarine volumes and profitability
- Be involved in pre- and after sales support and control, quotations, value added services locally, and to establish and maintain good commercial relations with customers
- Be flexible in adapting to the changes of the business to meet established objectives
- Keep abreast about Safmarine products, competitors, rates and new market tendencies in order to provide this information to the sales representatives


Requisitos

Estudios mínimos: Diplomado
Experiencia mínima: Al menos 1 año
Requisitos mínimos: - Fluent in Spanish and English
- Good systems knowledge
- Personal, committed and enthusiastic

Requisitos deseados: - 1-2 years previous experience from either Inside Sales or Customer Service
